Hey. Hi. Hello. This is The Other 90, a blog about strategy from your friends at Quick Study. Today’s newsletter takes about 4 minutes to read.
We’re wrapping up the year heads-down on projects that span tech, fashion, and sports. If your brand could benefit from a more impactful positioning in 2025, let’s chat: hello@quick.study
Let’s start here:
A new year beckons, which means it’s time to take stock of where you’ve been and where you’re going. It’s a time for reflection, renewed anticipation, movies about hot snowmen that come to life but almost die because of some unexplained body temperature phenomena, and holiday dinners followed by karaoke with coworkers.
As the book on 2024 closes, there’s one thing we probably all wish we had a little more of, especially when it comes to our work: time. We hear over and over again from clients, friends, and even strangers that time is not on their side when it comes to their to-do list. Expectations for individuals and teams are higher than ever as companies seek cost efficiencies and increased productivity. Found time, gained time, added time – these are the most requested gifts on the lists of many, especially when it comes to marketers at brands and agencies.
For the last 2.5 years, Quick Study has given the gift of returned time (and cost!) to our clients over and over again thanks to our 4-6 week sprint model. But sometimes, even that is too much time to lose. So in 2025, we’re innovating the strategy model again by introducing some newer, speedier offerings that will continue to save you time and money without sacrificing quality. Today’s newsletter is an early preview of those offerings before they go live next year:
Study Guides (1 week)
If you liked our research this year on Soloculture, the Busywork Economy, or Brand Spontaneity, you’ll love the fact that we also write custom Study Guides for brands looking to get a leg up on an audience, category, trend or other topic that is keeping them up at night. Maybe you want to better understand how media fragmentation is affecting your target consumer, or maybe you need a deeper dive into the way sports can be used as a tool to bridge the cultural divide. We’ll answer your question with custom research, a summary report, and identified opportunities for your brand all in just one week.
Relevance Checks (2 days)
It’s a reality check, but for relevance. We’ve developed a fast, affordable, no-commitment way to measure how relevant your brand is to your audience right now. Relevance Checks include a custom consumer survey, a light landscape analysis, and insights from our profiling database. We use these inputs to calculate your Brand Relevance Score, a new way of understanding how relevant your brand is to the people that matter most. Then, we provide a series of recommendations for how you can become more relevant, faster.
« Special for our subscribers, we’re offering five free Relevance Checks in early 2025. Reach out to us by replying to this email or message us at hello@quick.study to discuss what a Relevance Check might look like for your brand. »
Study Breaks (1 hour)
We’ve spent much of 2024 presenting our insights to brands not just in Study Guide form, but in classic Lunch & Learn form as well. These presentations are built as interactive discussions meant to get a team thinking about their work from new and unique perspectives. Now, we’re opening up Study Breaks to anyone who is looking to spice up their next team meeting or workshop. We currently offer three different topics for Study Breaks, and will continue to rotate in new research and insights throughout the next year.
So there you have it. From 1 hour to 1 week, these three new offerings will continue our mission of helping brands get smarter, faster. Don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or thoughts as we roll out these opportunities early next year.
Have a tremendous holiday season, and we look forward to studying & strategizing with you more in 2025!
